Iconlicious, providers of high quality icons. There is no need for the links in the page footer to be in nav
element. This is for two reasons. Firstly, two of the three are leaving the site and the nav
element is intended for links within a page or site. Secondly, the spec explains that a nav
element isn’t required in the footer
:
it is common for footers to have a short list of links to various pages of a site, such as the terms of service, the home page, and a copyright page. The footer element alone is sufficient for such cases, without a nav element.
