Each article has an aside that is used to hold the metadata on the article. I would class this metadata as information about the article that is directly related to it, rather than content that is tangientially related to the article. Therefore footer would be more appropriate. I would also question the use of nav for the “older entries” link at the bottom of the page. Is it major navigation? If not, a div will be sufficient.
