Markup Review

A tumblelog by software developer Scott Dowling.

I would use a footer for the information on the left of the page (photo, social networks, etc). The footer used at the bottom of the page has no semantics and is purely presentational. It would be better as a div. The articles in the centre of the page are also wrapped in a section, which would also be more suited to div. (Although giving the section a relevant heading would work too).
