Markup Review
The portfolio site of London based web developer Ross Johnson.
The h2
elements that are used in the home section
would be better as a single heading with CSS applied to achieve the visual effect. The document outline shows that it is split into two implicit sections, which is not the desired outcome. Ross could also drop the type
attributes from the script
and stylesheet link
elements and still have valid HTML5.

I’m noticing that in the notes section on several of the sites in the gallery where you are telling them that they should have dropped the type attribute from the script and stylesheet link elements, yet noticed that the code for your own site does the same thing you are telling them not to do…
It’s a fair point Jesse, and one that has been made before. However the site was put together quickly using a free theme so that HTML5 sites could be showcased. You can read Richard’s comments on the subject on the Ideas for HTML5 Gallery page at http://html5gallery.com/ideas/.
Cool, thank you for the explanation.
